This blog is currently producing no new articles. I began this back in November of 2013, but I decided in March of 2016 to allocate my time more towards classwork and research. I apologize if some of these articles are rather insufficient in detail; my perception has changed quite dramatically since my first interest in botany germinated.

I have continued to blog at, where the focus is much more on larger groups (primarily orders, families, tribes) and far more scientific in structure.

Austin, I still say you should add something personal at the start of each post. Something simple like a single statement why you personally chose to post about a specific plant – was it something you observed and where, was it something you read while surfing the net, was it something you learned in class that got those brain gears grinding, I think you get me drift šŸ™‚

  2. With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation? My blog has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either
authored myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over
the web without my permission. Do you know any solutions to help
stop content from being stolen? I’d certainly appreciate it.

    • Unless you have some sort of copyright (or maybe trademark) approved and clearly stated, there isn’t too much we can do to prevent information and other intellectual property from being taken without permission or proper referencing. For images and videos, you could use some type of watermark exclusive to you to signify that it is your work. For text and information, however, you would need to have the entire rights to the material (when someone has this, they typically include a disclaimer at the end of their article/every page). Thanks for commenting and your time. šŸ™‚
